Opportunity Equity Update for Week Ended 10/2/20

DXC Gains on Health and Human Services Sale, Flexion Falls on Minimal News

Last week, the Opportunity Equity strategy gained 6.59%, outperforming the S&P 500’s 1.54% rise (Exhibit 1). The strategy ended the week up 4.83% YTD, 30 basis points behind the S&P 500.

Farfetch Ltd (FTCH) crossed above the 50-day moving average. DXC Technology Company (DXC) crossed above the 100-day moving average after closing the sale of its US State and Local Health and Human Services business to Veritas Capital for $5B in cash. The company plans to use the proceeds to pay down debt. Taylor Morrison Home Corp. (TMHC) crossed above the 50-day moving average as August pending home sales rose 9% sequentially above the Street’s expectations for 3%. On a YoY basis, pending home sales rose 24.2% following last month’s 15.5% rise. There was minimal news on OneMain Holdings Inc. (OMF).
